~ Francisco's Farm Arts Committee ~

The Committee produces Francisco's Farm Arts Festival at Midway College on the last weekend in June, and has joined hands with Thoroughbred Community Theater to create
The Midway Arts Series

At the 2009 Governor's Award in the Arts ceremony, Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear made some great comments.  One thing he stressed was this:

"Our Cabinet for Economic Development says that one of the top ten questions they get from businesses considering relocating to Kentucky is 'What kind of arts amenities are available in this community?'  For businesses to attract the best employees, communities must offer a high quality of life and that includes the arts."

Francisco's Farm Arts Festival at Midway College is a not-for-profit production of Midway Renaissance, generously hosted by Midway College since 2004. The name commemorates Colonel John Francisco, the original owner of the property on which historic Midway now stands.

The primary focus of the event is the outdoor exhibition of juried fine art and fine craft, giving our audience the opportunity to meet, interact with, and purchase art from the creators themselves. Located on the beautiful campus of Midway College, Kentucky's only college for women, this event promises to be a destination of artists and buyers for years to come.

The Inaugural Event, in 2004, was awarded the Kentucky League of Cities 2004 Enterprise Cities Award.

The Kentucky Tourism Council
has named the Festival among the summer's Top Ten Festivals since 2006.

The best events across the southeast compete to receive the Southeast Tourism Society’s prestigious Top 20 Event designation. Francisco's Farm Arts Festival at Midway College was designated a Top 20 Event for June 2007, 2008, & 2010.

American Style Magazine offers artists and art collectors the opportunity to vote for their top three favorite Art Fairs and Festivals in the United States. Francisco's Farm was voted into the Top 10 Art Fairs in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
