Francisco's Farm Arts Festival is a not-for-profit production of Midway Renaissance, originally hosted by Midway College. The 2011 Festival was celebrated at a new venue - Equus Run Vineyards on Moores Mill Road in Midway. The name
commemorates
Colonel John Francisco, the original owner of the property
on
which historic Midway
now stands.
The primary focus of the event is the outdoor exhibition of juried fine art and fine craft, giving our audience the opportunity to meet, interact with, and purchase art from the creators themselves. This event promises to be a destination of artists and buyers for years to come.
The Inaugural Event, in 2004, was awarded the Kentucky League of Cities 2004 Enterprise Cities Award.
The Kentucky Tourism Council has named the Festival among the summer's Top Ten Festivals since 2006.
The best events across the southeast compete to receive the Southeast Tourism Society’s prestigious Top 20 Event designation. Francisco's Farm Arts Festival was designated a Top 20 Event for June 2007, 2008, 2010, & 2011.
American Style Magazine offers artists and art collectors the opportunity to vote for their top three favorite Art Fairs and Festivals in the United States. Francisco's Farm was voted into the Top 10 Art Fairs in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
