On Saturday, October 5th, the Greenspace Committee, Bluegrass Rain Garden Alliance, and Third Rock Consulting donated their time, talents, and materials to create a rain garden for the Midway Woman's Club at 233 South Gratz Street. Even more generous was the group's commitment to sharing their knowledge by conducting a hands-on workshop to equip participants with the fundamental skills to begin their own rain gardens.

Gina Morris of Third Rock Consulting (in plaid shirt), shows Randy Thomas the plants selected
for inclusion in the Rain Garden. Standing are Rachel Couch, Brittany Zwicker (Rain Garden
Coordinator for the Bluegrass Rain Garden Alliance), and Stacy Borden. Gina, Brittany, and Stacy presented educational sessions inside prior to the hands-on portion of the workshop.
