Renaissance President Randy Thomas greets riders
The first Renaissance Ride welcomed cyclists to Midway on Saturday April 24th. “The day didn't start out looking very good”, said Randy Thomas, president of Midway Renaissance and leader of the 36-mile ride, “but by the time we really got rolling those riders that decided to ‘go for it’ were rewarded with a beautiful ride.  The sky actually cleared and it was just about perfect.”
Special thanks to the Midway Business Association for having signs made to welcome riders, to Darlin’ Jean’s Apple Cobbler Café for hosting the event, and to our local businesses for donating door prizes - Damselfly Gallery, Equus Run Vineyards, Celtic Trends, Freedman Leather, Le Marche, The Back Room, Dr. John & Becky Moore, the Historic Midway Museum Store. Organizer Pam Thomas is planning another Renaissance Ride this fall!

Our little town has a lot to offer and we hope that you will join us at the next Renaissance Ride for food, fellowship, and riding in one of the prettiest places on earth!  For those of you who rode the Tour De Tulip ride the past few years, this ride replaced that ride – Sadly, the Black Tulip doesn’t exist anymore, but we are continuing the great ride tradition started by the Black Tulip!!
